The creation of this work initially came from a separation between consuming imagery created for platforms built off new technology, trying to escape those platforms and create something else that could separate itself from the fast-paced necessity of those same images.
Is it possible to create some-thing real, within a society, that functions on platforms built for an audience selling itself its own reality? A reality where imagery is circulated, reproduced and manipulated for popularity at the cost of individuality. The works sit as a series of constructed realities made real by the lens.
